Aurélia Sonjeau
Aurélia Sonjeau joined Ethikos as an Associate in September 2026 and has been a member of the Brussels Bar since April 2022. Her banking and finance practice focuses primarily on litigation.
She represents banks in a wide range of disputes involving payment fraud, attachments, debt recovery and the enforcement of security interests. She also advises banks and other financial sector participants, including insurance companies and payment services intermediaries.
Two years of experience as a legal adviser in real estate law have given her a particular affinity for this field. Before joining Ethikos, she gained experience both in private practice and in-house, working as a leasing consultant responsible for debt recovery. This background provides her with a practical understanding of debt recovery issues, both before proceedings are initiated and during litigation.
She also contributed to two practical legal guides: L’ABC du bail commercial and L’ABC de la répartition des charges.
Aurélia holds a Master’s degree in Economic and Social Law from the Université libre de Bruxelles. A native French speaker, she also handles matters in Dutch and English.
